WPL: The mini-auction for the third season of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) will be held in Bengaluru on December 15, confirmed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to the five franchises. A total of 19 spots (14 Indian players and 5 overseas) are available to be filled, with a collective purse of INR 16.7 crore.

Each franchise can spend up to INR 15 crore and must have a squad of 18 players, with a maximum of six overseas players. The retention process has left Gujarat Giants with the largest available purse of INR 4.4 crore, and four spots to fill. BCCI has not yet released specific dates for the 22-match tournament, which will take place between February and March. The reigning champions are Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
