During the Womens Premier League 2025 at M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru, Ellyse Perry etched her name in the record books by becoming the first ever player in the history of WPL to score 800 runs. Perry achieved this milestone during the 9th Match of Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women vs UP Warriorz Women. It was in the 12th over that Perry made another half century.

This is her 21st match and 7th WPL half century. She plays with an impressive strike rate of 130 and an average of 57.30. She smashed 81 runs against the Mumbai Indians which is also her best score. The Australian allrounder also has 11 wickets in her name in 15 innings.

Ellyse Perry and D Wyatt-Hodge has managed to bring out one of the maximum runs partnerships in WPL history for RCB which was against UPWarriorz at Bengaluru for 94 runs. She also jointly holds the record for most 50+ runs in WPL history with Delhi Capitals’ Meg Lanning. Both batters consist of 7 half centuries now. With this she becomes the leading run scorer in the WPL history.

Perry was retained by the RCB at WPL auction for 1.70cr. She was acquired by 1.70cr during the inaugural season of the WPL. In the 2024 WPL season, Perry helped RCB win their first title and won the Orange Cap with 347 runs. Perry is an all-rounder from Australia and a star of the Australian cricket team. She has won eight World Cups across ODIs and T20Is.
