Since joining the Saudi Pro League team Al-Nassr in December 2022, Cristiano Ronaldo has become the face of the club following his disagreement with Man United. Also, it is now up to both Ronaldo and Al-Nassr to decide how to continue, as his contract expires at the end of next month and the club can only leave things unresolved for around one month more especially after the ongoing rumours that Ronaldo might be seen for playing the Morocco club Wydad in the Club World Cup.
Ronaldo Demands Squad Assurances Before Extending The Contract
It is still undecide that what will happen with Ronaldo at Al Nassr after his contract ends on June 30, 2025. Although the team hopes to build around him both on and off the field, Ronaldo appears to have no plans for a new contract. The top reason is that Konopka is not satisfied with the ability of the current squad. He is thought to be seeking confirmation from the club’s management about how the team will be bettered. The club is thinking about making major changes, but Ronaldo might choose to leave if Al Nassr does not show real effort to reinforce the team.

Ronaldo’s Growing Frustration Could Lead To Al Nassr Exit
Ronaldo is allegedly displeased with the team’s lack of major trophy wins this season and their missing out on both the AFC Champions League Elite and the FIFA Club World Cup. Beyond being unhappy on the field, Ronaldo is rumoured to have requested big changes such as firing Stefano Pioli, Fernando Hierro and getting rid of nearly half the team. If Al Nassr does not restructure the team, Ronaldo could decide not to renew his contract after it ends in June 2025.
