After missing the Perth Test, Rohit has managed to score runs in double digits only once and that too only 10 in the 1st innings of the Brisbane Test. During the Adelaide Pink ball test the Hitman scored 3 and 6 runs in the 1st and 2nd innings respectively. Amidst the Melbourne test Rohit reflected significant struggle against the Australian bowlers as they managed to keep the skipper on the ropes. He scored 3 and 9 runs in the 1st and 2nd innings respectively.
Pat Cummins Turning Out To Be A Nightmare
The Aussie skipper Pat Cummins have been a nightmare for the Indian skipper. Out of the 5 innings that Rohit has been featured in, he took the bait by Cummins and went on to become prey of his deadly fast bowling 4 times which is concerning. Young Talent Needs More Opportunities
Young lads like Yashasvi Jaiswal, Washington Sundar and Nitish Kumar Reddy who are performing well in the series have to get more opportunities but due to the senior players on the side, the might be dropped from the side. Nitish Kumar Reddy who scored an innings saving ton in the 1st innings of the Melbourne test might be placed somewhere more at the top rather than coming down on the 7th spot.
