WWE: In the most recent episode of WWE RAW, Gunther won the World Heavyweight Championship by defeating Jey Uso. There were speculations regarding the possible return of WWE legend Goldberg ever since. Now, a fresh report has heavily indicated his return, and Goldberg himself has reacted to the rumors.
Goldberg had already stated that he intends to wrestle his retirement bout in 2025. Gunther at Bad Blood 2024 had insulted the Hall of Famer, and a conflict between the two was narrowly prevented by the intervention of WWE officials. There has been mounting speculation ever since that Goldberg’s last match might be against Gunther. Now with Gunther again possessing championship gold, the prospect appears more plausible than ever.
Big Update on Goldberg’s WWE Return
In a recent report released by Bodyslam.net, Goldberg is rumored to make an appearance on the upcoming week’s episode of RAW. In this report, the veteran is said to return to the narrative shortly, which sparks rumors of a long-gestating feud with Gunther finally getting underway.
Adding fuel to the hype, Goldberg recently shared on social media a video clip of him dispatching opponents to his signature entrance music. The caption was simple: “Who’s next?” an obvious reference to his signature catchphrase and perhaps a tease at his return.
Everything is indicating that Goldberg is returning and the fans are already abuzz with hope for possibly an eventful last hurrah.

When Was Goldberg’s Last WWE Match?
Goldberg last wrestled in a WWE ring during Elimination Chamber 2022, where he faced Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship. The match was short-lived, as Reigns duly retained his title over the veteran.
Some of Goldberg’s performances over the past few years have been criticized, such as his much-awaited bout against The Undertaker, which was tainted by a few in-ring errors. That said, Goldberg is apparently going big for his last match. He has been allegedly training hard for months and is not keen on disappointing his fans.
As the anticipation mounts, everyone’s eyes will be on RAW next week to determine if Goldberg will finally return to the ring and if Gunther will be facing off against him.
