Attempt To Frame A Question

The journalist was not able to ask if England could equalize their 823 runs in the last match of the series. Several attempts were made before he could finally get himself across his question. Patience with which Stokes answered and could poke fun at the situation can be visible when, on being told if England could equate their amazing record on Rawalpindi’s batting paradise, Stokes said, “That would be nice”.

England’s Strategy Going Forward

Stokes had won the toss and opted to bat first in the series decider match. England is looking for their successive Test series wins in Pakistan, just after a comprehensive 3-0 whitewash two years ago.

Resilience Of Pakistan

Losing the series level in Multan, Pakistan made huge changes to their side and left out star batter Babar Azam and pacer Shaheen Afridi. They declared an unchanged XI with spin-twins Sajid Khan and Noman Ali who played a great role in taking all 20 English wickets in the first Test.

England’s Squad Changes

In the wake of the previous game, England had brought in some tactical changes. The pacer Gus Atkinson was rested for the second game while he was called back to the squad. Spin bowler Rehan Ahmed was also back in the squad. However, pacer Brydon Carse and Matthew Potts were shown the door.
