In response, the Sunrisers’ Openers Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma built a partnership of 171 runs. Travis Head was eventually dismissed by Yuzvendra Chahal on 66 runs. Abhishek Sharma smashed his century in 40 balls and celebrated this milestone with a special message for his ‘Orange Army’.

The century Abhishek scored became the second-fastest among players from SRH to reach this milestone during IPL history. He punches the air with joy, then pulls out a note and holds it up for the dugout to see. The message? “THIS ONE IS FOR ORANGE ARMY!”—a powerful tribute to the fans. Shreyas Iyer walks over to congratulate him with a warm hug, while emotions run high in the SRH camp. After enduring four consecutive losses, this innings is a massive morale booster. During the RCB match at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru last season Travis Head become the fastest in IPL history to reach a hundred by using 39 deliveries. History marks Chris Gayle as the overall rapidest IPL hundred-maker after his 30-ball knock helped RCB defeat Pune Warriors in 2013.
