Spectators Delight In Playing Cricket and Capturing Photos During NZ vs ENG 1st Test In Christchurch

During the lunch break on day 1 of NZ vs ENG 1st Test spectators clicked photos and played cricket at the Hagley Oval in Christchurch.

New Zealand and England are taking on each other in the first Test of the three-match series at the Hagley Oval ground in Christchurch. New Zealand finished day 1 of the NZ vs ENG 1st Test 319/8 in 83 overs wherein Kiwi batter Kane Williamson missed out on a hundred and got out for 93 runs. The cricket stadiums that are situated in the island nation consists of grassy banks rather than having big stands. Spectators enjoy the vibe cricket in the nation and that is always seen throughout the international matches played there. Such a scene was seen during the day 1 of New Zealand vs England 1st Test being played at Hagley Oval.

Spectators entered the ground and were seen playing cricket during the lunch break of the NZ vs ENG 1st Test Day 1 at the Hagley Oval in Christchurch. The spectators were invited to the ground wherein the children were spotted playing cricket whereas the elders took pictures with other members of their family. The sunny and calm weather added more light to the match and the epic combination highlighted the welcoming culture of cricket in New Zealand.

Getting into the match, the New Zealand batted first on a pace friendly wherein Devon Conway departed early for a score of 2 runs from 8 balls. Tom Latham tried to build a partnership with Kane Williamson wherein Latham got out for a score of 47 runs from 54 balls. Rachin Ravindra batted well and played a knock of 34 runs from 49 balls. However, Williamson stood on one end and missed out on a hundred by just seven runs. Kane Williamson got out for a score of 93 runs from 197 balls which included 10 fours. At the end, Kiwis ended the day 1 at 319/8 in 83 overs. Shoaib Bashir picked up four wickets whereas Gus Atkinson and Brydon Carse picked up two wickets apiece.
