Leandro Trossard’s red proves costly to a spectacular win at Etihad. Super-sub John Stones bails City out of the humiliation of losing to the 10-man Arsenal in the 98th minute of the injury time.

City’s celebration did not last long as Gunner’s equaliser came in hard with Calafiori’s burst a curling shot from 20 yards, just after Rodri was forced to leave the pitch, picking up a knee injury. The visitors took the lead in the first half stoppage time from a towering header by Gabriel from the corner.

The visiting side usually grew in the game and regained control, until Leandro Trossard was sent off a few minutes later their lead. He was booked earlier in the game and sent off with a second yellow after kicking the ball away in frustration.
Second Half Drama
The visiting side with a man down defended pretty well in the second interval and were looking to have a famous win at Etihad. The win would have moved them up to the top of the points table of the Premier League. The injury time of the second half was entirely played in the final third of Arsenal’s half. City finally cut through Arsenal’s back line at the 98th minute into the game. It was the super-sup John Stones who got behind the ball from a rebound blasting it in.
