In the India-England first Test match at Leeds, the hosts are now in complete control of the match dynamics. Both the English openers, Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett, have a decent command over the Indian bowling attack. Ben Duckett has completed his century, and Crawley is complementing from the other end with his half-century. The Indian bowlers were seen frustrated, and the silence from the fans was shattering the morale of the Indian players. With this Indian speedster, Mohammad Siraj was seen at the boundary rope hyping the crowd not to lose any morale, which depicted former India captain Virat Kohli’s attitude on the field of never losing any hope.

India pacer Mohammed Siraj had a confrontation with England opener Ben Duckett on the brink of Lunch on Day 5 of the current 1st Test at Headingley, Leeds. With Siraj storming towards the crease, Zak Crawley took his eyes off the ball and withdrew from the delivery, claiming movement behind the sightscreen. Experienced commentator Harsha Bhogle was quick to notice that there wasn’t any movement behind the screen, which he felt was an attempt by Crawley to waste time so that India could not deliver another over before Lunch.
Duckett and Crawley, who have combined to score more than 2000 runs as Test openers, were quick to capitalize on anything full or short to play essay cuts, pulls and drives as England innings picked a lot of steam, scoring 96 runs from the first session after they resumed from overnights 21 for no loss. Crawley and Duckett’s total is the record opening stand in the 4th innings of a Test at Headingley, surpassing one which has endured since 1949, when Verdun Scott and Bert Sutcliffe scored 112 for New Zealand.
