Jasprit Bumrah’s Frustration Caught On Stump Mic As IND vs AUS 3rd Test Day 1 Washed Out | Watch

Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah was left frustrated during the Day 1 of IND vs AUS 3rd Test and it was washed out due to rain.

The third Test between India and Australia began in Brisbane from December 14, 2024. However, rain played a spoilsport on Day 1 as play was abandoned. Australia finished the Day 1 at 28/0 in 13.2 overs wherein Usman Khawaja and Nathan McSweeney are the overnight batters and remained unbeaten on 19 and 4 runs respectively. The five-match series is currently leveled at 1-1 wherein both teams will be aiming to win the match and take a lead in the series. Team India was rattled in the previous match played in Adelaide and suffered a 10-wicket defeat.

Indian captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and opted to bowl first due to overcast conditions. However, Jasprit Bumrah was ready to bowl the first ball, the skies cleared up and there was no assistance for the bowlers in the surface. Mohammed Siraj and Bumrah weren’t able to find any rhythm and struggled to maintain a decent line and length. Bumrah was frustrated as he didn’t find any help from the pitch and same was caught on stump mic.

After delivering the first ball of the fifth over, Jasprit Bumrah said, “Upar lag raha hai (It’s hitting the bat high.), whereas he later said, “Nahi ho raha hain swing aise bhi. Kahi bhi kar (It’s not swinging, regardless of wherever you bowl).”

The Indian team needs to make a strong comeback in the five-match series. Team India was blown away in Adelaide and its batting lineup was completely exposed by the Australian pace attack. However, the Indian team has some sweet memories at ‘The Gabba’ and will hope on repeating the same performance this time as well.
