This has led to speculation among fans: Will the IPL 2025 final be held at a different venue instead of Eden Gardens in Kolkata? Major updates are emerging in this regard.
Final May Be Held at This Venue
According to the original schedule, the IPL 2025 final was to be held at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. However, this may no longer be the case. The tournament was suspended for a week due to tensions between India and Pakistan, which led to a revised schedule. As a result, the final has been postponed from May 25 to June 3.

Reports now suggest that the final could be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, instead of Eden Gardens. However, the BCCI has not officially confirmed this change.
Why the Final Venue Might Be Changed
As per reports, the primary reason for considering a venue change is the unfavorable weather forecast in Kolkata around June 3. Heavy rainfall is predicted on that date, with a 65% chance of rain at Eden Gardens. To avoid disruptions, the BCCI is considering shifting the final to Ahmedabad, where weather conditions are expected to be more favorable.
Only 17 Matches are Left
A total of 17 matches remain in IPL 2025. This includes the rescheduled match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals, originally set for May 8 in Dharamshala, which was canceled due to tensions between India-Pakistan. That match will now be played in Jaipur on May 24.
