Before the game against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), PBKS got a shock as the Kiwi speedster Lockie Ferguson has been ruled out of the remaining IPL 2025. During the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), Ferguson was struggling to bowl and eventually went out to the dug out. PBKS’ fast bowling coach James Hopes confirmed regarding this issue.

What James Hopes Said On Lockie Ferguson
“Lockie Ferguson is out of the tournament indefinitely and it is highly unlikely that we will get him back till the end of the tournament. I think he has hurt himself quite badly”.

Who Will Replace Him?
The Punjab-side also have a few other options to replace the Kiwi fast bowler. The Australian fast bowler Xavier Bartlett, Afghanistan’s all-rounder Azmatullah Umarzai are two options for PBKS. Apart from these two, Vijaykumar Vaishak is another option.
