The IPL 2025 is ready to resume, and the new schedule is out. BCCI has seeded the Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Kolkata Knight Riders for the opening game of the new and revised schedule. Both teams are scheduled to play at the M. Chinnaswamy stadium, Bengaluru, on May 17. RCB has had an extremely flamboyant campaign in the IPL 2025 season. But it seems like the clouds of uncertainty surround the playoff qualification chances. 7 of the key RCB players are likely to miss the rest of the tournament, and this might jeopardize their campaign.
7 Key Players Likely To Miss The Season
The team is facing many problems with player availability. Rajat Patidar might miss a few matches due to his finger injury during the CSK match and may only play as an Impact Player at the end. Josh Hazlewood is also unlikely to come back after the sudden suspension of the IPL due to India-Pakistan conflict. Devdutt Padikkal is already ruled out.
Several players like Romario Shepherd, Phil Salt, Jacob Bethell, and Liam Livingstone have national team duties as the West Indies and England are scheduled to play a 3-match ODI series from May 29, so they won’t be available for some matches. This means the team will need to manage with fewer key players.

With two or more victories, they will stand a good chance in reaching the top two. If they lose all three matches, they will have to rely upon the other team’s result and NRR, as they will get stuck at 16 points.
