Surya, majorly known for his wide range of shots all around the ground and calm behaviour on the field guided the Indian team to a 3-1 T20I series win against South Africa. The Indian team showcased a brilliant performance during the fourth T20I match of the series and ended up winning the match by 135 runs.

Surya accidentally stepped on the Team India cap while celebrating along with Rinku Singh. Surya realised his mistake immediately and picked up the cap and gave a kiss to it. The Indian team put up a score of 283/1 while batting first in the IND vs SA 4th T20I 2024 wherein Indian batters Tilak Varma and Sanju Samson slammed brilliant hundreds. The Indian team who was playing its final T20I of the year 2024 gave it their all in the match and registered plenty of records throughout the match. The Indian bowlers as well joined the party and in the end, the Proteas got wrapped up for 148 runs and Suryakumar Yadav and Co won the match by 135 runs.
