Shoriful Islam, the fast bowler from Bangladesh said that the team will look to carry the momentum of their sensational series win over Pakistan into their two-Test series against India. The Tigers became only the second team to sweep Pakistan on their home soil after beating Shan Masood’s men 2-0.

Bangladesh Eyeing To Keep The Winning Streak
Shoriful said a series victory against India would strengthen the position of Bangladesh in world cricket. He also admitted that the series coming up is going to be a bigger challenge as Indian players are more experienced in Test cricket compared to Pakistan.
“Compared to Pakistan, India are more experienced in Test cricket. India are a big team and I feel that if we do well against them, we will be followed worldwide and everyone will look at us. If we can do well in India, it will make us happy. We are working hard, and we hope for the results to go our way,” Shoriful told Bangladesh Cricket.
“We try and start with a win because we had a decent series against Pakistan. Everyone is confident, and we will try our best and make use of the confidence,” Shoriful further added.
Bangladesh players were seen doing intense practice at SBNCS, Mirpur for the upcoming India Series.
Shoriful Islam To Play IND Vs BAN 1st Test
Shoriful Islam played the first Test of the series against Pakistan, taking three scalps including Babar Azam’s wicket. A groin injury ruled him out of the second Test. He has been selected for the tour of India as part of the pace attack that will also include Taskin Ahmed, Nahid Rana and Hasan Mahmud. The tour commences with the first Test starting at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Thursday, September 19. The second Test will be held at Green Park in Kanpur while three T20Is are slotted for October 6, 9, and 12.
