During the final day of the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne something happened that irritated Sunil Gavaskar while Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rishab Pant were on the crease.

Although the Melbourne test would most likely end up in a draw but if India gets more time to play then maybe the dynamics of the game would shift. There was a visible frustration that highlighted the frequent interruptions in modern cricket.

“The reserved fielder has walked onto the field of play, having a chat with the deep third man fielder. This is Test Cricket. You don’t need to do that. This really should not be allowed by the Umpires. More time is being wasted”, he said during the commentary

“Generally ICC try to bring regulations regarding this”, he added.
