“And I think he’s in the best shape he’s ever been in. So definitely motivated. We’re playing against the Australians as well, so that’ll be added motivation for him. But yeah, I think he’s in a very good space.”
About Kagiso Rabada’s Drug Case
The recreation drug that has seen South Africa seamer Kagiso Rabada was banned for one month in cricket due to being identified as cocaine by the South African Institute for Drug-Free Sport (SAIDS). It is a signatory of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and the organisation releases the results of failed drug tests one month after the appeal period of sanctioned athletes expires. SAIDS released its results on June 3, and it indicated that there was the presence of Benzoylecgonine, a cocaine metabolite in the results of Rabada. When cocaine is consumed, it is metabolised in the liver to form benzoylecgonine which is eliminated in the urine.
