Jacques Kallis
Jacques Kallis is second in this list of players as he played his 13,000th Test run against New Zealand in Cape Town on January 2, 2013. Since he started his career on December 14, 1995, he achieved it in 159 appearances and 269 innings over 17 years and 19 days. He was remarkable for using solid technique and holding the innings together when the pressure grew greatest.

The England star is in this list after he added his 13000th Test run for England against Zimbabwe in the Only Test played from May 22 to 26, 2025. In Trent Bridge, Root reached 13,000 Test runs when he made 34 runs in his 279th Test innings.
