Harshal Patel has disclosed about his strategy behind getting the crucial wicket of the CSK’s skipper MS Dhoni. This is not the first time for Patel to take such a crucial wicket as this was his fourth time dismissing Dhoni in the IPL. He bowled a wide outside off ball which Dhoni tried to reply by a cut shot but ended up giving it to the fielder instead leading to him being out.
Harshal Patel’s Planning For Dhoni’s Wicket
“I was trying to bowl length to him, not necessarily wide, but it was just one of those variations where what you try doesn’t come off but pretty happy the ball went to the fielder,” Harshal said in the post-match presentation ceremony.
“We’ve been trying to that for the last few games, but some pieces have been missing but for all of it to come together when we need to win every match is pretty special,” Harshal added.
Harshal’s Performance Against CSK
The SRH team’s outstanding performance combined with their great medium pacer Harshal Patel’s performance of 4/28 over play limited CSK’s score to 154 in 19.5 overs making a way for an easy chase victory. Patel earned the ‘Player of the Match’ award for taking several crucial wickets, including key players like Sam Curran, Dewald Brevis, team captain MS Dhoni, and Noor Ahmad, who were potential recruits for CSK’s program.
