Shreyas Iyer walks off with a big smile on his face as he is applauded by the PBKS contingent. What a start to his captaincy career. He may not have got that deserved 100 but this was an innings of the highest quality. He continued his good form from the Champions Trophy and dealt mainly in sixes - 9 of them in total. Even Rashid Khan was not spared. Shreyas set the tone with a lovely lofted on-drive to the first ball he faced from Rabada. From there, there was no stopping him. The young Priyansh Arya was the star earlier at the top of the order as he showed his talent and made use of the powerplay. A couple of wicket wickets during the middle overs including a first-ball duck of Maxwell gave GT hope but cameos from Stoinis and at the end by Shashank Singh took PBKS to a massive score. This wicket is a batting beauty though and GT have the firepower to chase it down. For GT, Sai Kishore was the pick of the bowlers with a three-fer while Prasidh and Siraj were major disappointments.
