New Delhi: Sri Lanka defeated Pakistan in the second semi-final match of the Women’s Asia Cup 2022. Batting first after winning the toss, Sri Lanka had scored 122 runs on the board. In response, Pakistan’s team fought till the end, but could not achieve the target and lost by 1 run. Pakistan could only manage 121 runs in 20 overs for the loss of 6 wickets.
Inoka Ranweera became the Horti of victory
Inoka Ranweera bowled brilliantly for Sri Lanka, taking 2 wickets in 4 overs. During this she only gave 17 runs. She has also been adjudged the Player of the Match for his stellar performance. Apart from Inoka, Achini Kulsuriya also took 1 wicket for 22 runs in 4 overs.

Sri Lanka won by Mandavi’s innings
Mandavi played the biggest innings of 35 runs for Sri Lanka. Apart from them, Sanjeevani contributed 26 and Nilakshi de Silva contributed 14 runs. Here Muniba made a great start for Pakistan, but she was dismissed after scoring 18 runs in 10 balls. After this, Captain Bismah Maroof took the lead. He played an innings of 42 runs, but was dismissed at the time.

Pakistan captain Misbah got out on time
Nida Dar took over after captain Misbah but she too was run out after scoring 26 runs. Nasara Sandhu bowled well for Pakistan, he took 3 wickets for 17 runs in 4 overs. Apart from Sandhu, Omima Sohail gave 14 runs in 4 overs, although she did not get any success.
