Former Indian cricketer Sourav Ganguly suffered a massive setback on Thursay morning when he was on his way to Burdwan, where a lorry suddenly braked in front of the convoy on Durgapur Expressway. There is no danger to the vehicle in which Sourav Ganguly was travelling and he is also healthy.
Ganguly later attended a special function at the auditorium of Burdwan University. The former India captain also had a conversation with the students in joyous mood.
In the accident the lorry driver suddenly braked and Ganguly’s car driver also braked very quickly to avoid a collision.

According to the police sources at Durgapur police station, there was no damage to Ganguly’s vehicle and Ganguly left for Burdwan University to attend the program organised by the school.
“I am overwhelmed. It feels great to be in Burdwan. I am even more happy that you invited me. BDS (Burdwan Sports Association) was asking me to come for a long time. It feels great to be here today. CAB has been working with the Burdwan sports organization for 50 years. Many players have emerged from the district. We will have to recruit players from the district in the same way in the future as well.” Ganguly said in a event as quoted by Hindustan.
