‘Some Decisions Are….’: Mohammad Rizwan Breaks Silence On Fakhar Zaman’s Exclusion

PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi said the social media comments and not passing fitness tests held significant sway in Fakhar Zaman being excluded.

Mohammad Rizwan the newly appointed Pakistan captain highlighted on this issue that has arisen after Fakhar Zaman’s central contract was taken away by PCB list when he said, ‘There are things he or she cannot control in decision making’. Fakhar has been left out of the contracts of central contract announced by Pakistan Cricket Board on 27 October. This was followed by tweets on 29 October, which contained criticism at Pakistan’s handling of Babar Azam.

PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi said the social media comments and not passing fitness tests held significant sway in him being excluded, however. Responding to questions regarding Fakhar’s future with the side, Rizwan said he respected his game-changing ability and the knack he had for changing things under varied conditions. He hoped the issue surrounding Fakhar could be quickly resolved.

“There’s no question about Fakhar’s impact, he is an influential player who can change the game singlehandedly on any conditions,” he stated as quoted by India Today

“While some decisions are beyond my control, we have discussed his potential return and hope the matter will soon be resolved.”

Pakistan will now be playing T20I series against Australia, starting from 14 November.
