RR Vs MI: Riyan Parag Reacts After Rajasthan Royals Get Knocked Out Of Playoffs Race, Says ‘A Lot Of Mistakes And…’

After the loss, skipper Riyan Parag opened up about the loss and highlighted that Rajasthan Royals had made a lot of mistakes.

Mumbai Indians delivered a dominant all-round performance to register a massive win over Rajasthan Royals, becoming the second team after CSK to knock a side out of the tournament this season. With this emphatic victory, MI have reached the top of the IPL 2025 points table and extended their winning streak to six consecutive matches, firmly establishing themselves as the team to beat.

Rajasthan Royals’ Batting Collapse

Rajasthan’s innings never really took off. The much-hyped 14-year-old Suryavanshi fell for a duck in the very first over, while Yashasvi Jaiswal briefly threatened with two sixes off Trent Boult before being bowled in the same over. Jasprit Bumrah struck twice in one over, triggering a collapse that saw RR lose five wickets inside the powerplay for the first time this season. Impact substitute Karn Sharma further dismantled the middle order with a tidy three-wicket haul.

Riyan Parag Left Extremely Disappointed

After the loss, skipper Riyan Parag opened up about the loss and highlighted that Rajasthan Royals had made a lot of mistakes.

“You’ve got to give credit to MI for the way they batted. They kept wickets. Yeah, 190-200 would have been ideal. We’ve been getting good starts. But it’s up to the middle order – myself, Dhruv – to step up. We’ve done a lot of things right and wrong. A lot of mistakes and small errors. We want to focus on them, and focus on the good [stuff] as well.”

Despite a brief resistance from Jofra Archer, who struck two clean sixes in his unbeaten 30, RR could only delay the inevitable. The last-wicket partnership held on for over four overs, but MI’s bowling and fielding remained sharp throughout.
