Mumbai Indians (MI) opener Rohit Sharma joined the team’s net practice on Sunday ahead of their next game against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Monday. Rohit was absent for MI’s last game against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) because of a knee injury he picked up in the run-up to the match. On Sunday, Rohit was one of the first to report for the nets, where he spent around 30 minutes batting alongside fellow opener Ryan Rickelton.

Rohit Sharma Practices Rigorously In Nets
In the session, they were hit by a fierce bowling attack, comprising Jasprit Bumrah, Trent Boult, Mitchell Santner, and Karn Sharma. Rohit stood with his legs crossed at the rear as Rickelton struck the ball, sometimes giving supportive nods after watching some excellent shots, including a straight one. While batters in adjacent nets were hitting forceful shots, Rohit was working on bat to ball, deliberately practicing timing his pushes off the front and back foot. He even poked a Bumrah ball into the slips but did not respond, instead concentrating on his bat to get himself back on track. After a while, Rohit rotated the strike with Rickelton and then walked off the field to sit behind the MI nets for the rest of the session. He seemed to be in no apparent discomfort and is likely to replace Raj Bawa from the last game, perhaps as an Impact Player.
