India’s star batter and captain Rohit Sharma recently was seen to have a bit of a struggle with his hamstring but he assured that he it was in good condition following India’s dominant victory against Pakistan in Champions Trophy 2025. However, recent reports suggest that the Indian captain’s fitness might not be as perfect as he claimed.

Despite his positive remarks, Rohit Sharma’s movements during India’s recent training session at ICC Academy Dubai have raised some questions. According to a report by Times of India, Rohit stayed away from all the activities that involve more physical strain during the practice session, which was India’s first after a two-day break.

Rohit Sharma Getting Closely Monitored
During the session, Rohit Sharma was seen to be a part of multiple discussions with head coach Gautam Gambhir and other members of the coaching staff. However, he did not face any deliveries, signaling a cautious approach to his recovery.
Mohammed Shami Bowling WIth Full-Fitness
On the other hand, pacer Mohammed Shami, who was also in the dock over his fitness following the Pakistan match, seemed to be better prepared. Shami bowled at full intensity, generating swing in both ways and even giving Virat Kohli a scare in the nets session, proving his fitness was not a worry right now. Along with Shami, other pacers Harshit Rana and Arshdeep Singh also seemed very determined and proved they are ready for action.

Bowling Coach Morne Morkel Returns to the Camp
