BJP Spokesperson Supports Shami
UP BJP leader and spokesperson Rakesh Tripathi condemned the cleric’s statement on this matter and stated, “Faith is a personal affair of every individual. It is their choice whether to observe fast, how to adhere to their religious tradition, and how to pray. Whether a person keeps Roza or not is their own choice. No one can dictate their religious faith or throw them out of the religion or society. Some clerics have been doing such moral policing for years, but this will no longer be tolerated. They cannot digest a cricketer representing the country, and hence they are making such comments.”
