Mumbai Indians are gearing up for a thrilling match against Sunrisers Hyderabad at Wankhede Stadium on April 17, Thursday. With the playoffs race getting intense both the teams are under immense pressure to deliver and Mumbai will be banking on their home advantage to stay in the race.
The Wankhede Stadium is known for their batting friendly surface and a high-scoring contest is expected. Given the strong form, SRH showed their capability in match against Punjab Kings when they chased a huge target of 245 runs and the match against MI will also be a tough contest.
Mumbai Indians Eyeing To Win Against SRH
At the top, Rohit Sharma brings his wealth of experience and ability to anchor innings. Partnering him will be Ryan Rickelton, the aggressive South African wicketkeeper-batter who can exploit the field restrictions during the powerplay. The middle order will be powered by the dynamic Suryakumar Yadav and the dependable Tilak Varma, both capable of turning the game in Mumbai’s favour.

Captain Hardik Pandya will be the key player, not only with his all-round skills but also in leading the troops tactically. Naman Dhir adds depth and finishing power in the lower middle order. Mumbai may opt for either Will Jacks, who is an explosive hitter and a handy spinner, or Corbin Bosch, a pace-bowling option that provides variation to the attack. Mitchell Santner’s left-arm spin provides middle-over control, while the pace attack boasts a deadly trio: Deepak Chahar, who swings it up front; Trent Boult, who can break the top order early; and Jasprit Bumrah, the death-overs specialist. For the Impact Player role, MI can select the veteran Karn Sharma or bring in Vignesh Puthur, depending on match situations.

MI Vs SRH: Toss Strategy
With the effect of dew later in the night, the better approach would be to win the toss and bowl first. Chasing is much easier at Wankhede under lights, and both captains would rather have a target in front of them than setting one.
