Lucknow Super Giants are all scheduled to play Kolkata Knight Riders in their next IPL 2025 game on Tuesday at the legendary Eden Gardens. What was supposed to be played out on Sunday got delayed as it clashed with Ram Navami celebrations in Kolkata. Both sides have had a relatively mediocre beginning to the season as each side played four matches with two victories in their name.
On a positive note for LSG, their young spinner Digvesh Singh Rathi has been the standout performer, impressing everyone with his brilliant bowling. The 25-year-old, who made his IPL debut this season, has taken six wickets so far. But it was his controversial celebration of a wicket after a match against Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians that really caught everyone’s attention.

After being awarded the Player of the Match in the game, Digvesh showed his respect towards Kolkata’s ace spinner, Sunil Narine. On Sunday, he got to meet his idol finally. In a clip posted by KKR on X (formerly Twitter), Pant took Digvesh to meet Narine. Nicholas Pooran, while talking to Narine, said that Digvesh keeps talking about him. Pooran then playfully asked Digvesh, “He (Narine) doesn’t celebrate, why do you celebrate?” To which Digvesh had a ready come-back in a humorous tone, “I’m from Delhi,” a response that had everyone, including Narine, in stitches.
