KKR Vs GT: Shubman Gill Reflects On Gujarat Titans Win, Says ‘We Just Want To…’

Gujarat Titans played against the Kolkata Knight Riders and registered a solid win by 39 runs at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. With this victory GT is sitting at the top of the table while KKR on the other hand has lost two consecutive matches in a row and sitting at 7th position on IPL Points Table. Batting first Gujarat Titans had set a target of 199 runs with Shubman Gill scoring 90 runs followed by Sai Sudharsan’s incredible knock of 52. Jos Buttler also came in and scored 41 runs. “Very pleased. The talk for us earlier was that these two matches were going to decide where we stand on the table, so very happy with how they went. There is no such conversation (between me and Sai Sudharsan that one of us has to stay till the end), we want to play our best game, score as much runs, we never say that one of us has to stay in the end. We just want to bat deep. We were ahead in the game, but it’s important to close the game. Good teams close the game very well. In this format it’s very difficult to have a perfect game, like ven today maybe 10 more runs if I had stayed there. But still you have to find a way to win the game and that’s what we’re really good at.”
