The BCCI has suspended IPL 2025 indefinitely amid India-Pakistan tensions. The situation is getting extremely sensitive after the Punjab Kings vs Delhi Capitals match was suspended following which now the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to suspend the Indian Premier League (IPL). All the foreign players will also be sent back to their respective homes, the BCCI has taken the responsilblity to send them back safely.
The decision comes after Pakistan attacked several areas on the border and India had strong retaliated. Even the whole Dharamsala Stadium was under blackout and all the audience was evacuated immediately. IPL Chairmain Arun Dhumal was also seen in the stadium asking people to leave as soon as possible. There were reports that a special train was organised for the players to take them out of the area with immediate effect.
Today the Lucknow Super Giants was scheduled to play against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru and with the heightened tensions, IPL Chairman Arun Dhumal had already stated the decision would be taken on the match and future of the tournament based on “evolving situation”.
