Ashwin stands ahead as the seventh-highest wicket-taker in Test cricket with 536 wickets in 105 Tests, while Lyon trails him by just six wickets from 129 games, with 530 scalps. “He has a carrom ball that can turn the ball the opposite ways. But Lyon has been someone who has bowled with a lot of over-spin. That challenges the batters,” Adams said.
