The AFC FIFA World Cup qualifier between South Korea and Oman started at 4:32 pm before both teams ended with a tie at 1-1 during regulation time. During the first half South Korea’s defence successfully suppressed Oman’s offensive attempts. At the 80th minute Amjad Al-Busaidi scored an equaliser for Oman after receiving a key pass from Al-Ghassani. Although both teams tried to score up until the final moments neither team was successful in getting the deciding goal.

The match became a close contest during the closing moments while teams searched for a final decisive goal but it remained scoreless.
