Lord Ram was born at midday on the ninth day (Navami Tithi) of Shukla Paksha in Chaitra, the first month of the Hindu calendar. In the Gregorian calendar, this usually falls in late March or April.
In 2025, Ram Navami will be celebrated on Sunday, April 6. The best time for celebrations will be between 11:08 A.M and 1:39 P.M, according to the Drik Panchang.

On this day, temples across the country organize havan (ritual fire offerings), Ramayana recitations, night-long jagratas (devotional singing), and special pujas (prayers). People worship Lord Ram, his wife Sita, his brother Lakshman, and his devoted follower Hanuman.
