With over 14–15 years of yoga practice and 8+ years of teaching experience, she brings not just knowledge but also experience to this conversation. What does Yoga Day mean to you personally?

To me, every day is yoga day. This yoga day serves merely as an awareness initiative, driven by Mr Narender Modi ji’s vision to promote global awareness for a healthy, happy, and peaceful world.

How did you first get started with yoga?

Several years ago, I was diagnosed with PCOS and a slipped disc, and my doctor recommended yoga as a treatment. I promptly joined a yoga class and, within six months, noticed significant improvements in my back pain and PCOS symptoms, as well as a weight loss of 7kgs. I have been devoted to yoga ever since.

What are the key benefits of practising yoga regularly?

Regular yoga practice offers numerous physical and mental health benefits. Physically, it can improve flexibility, strength, balance, and posture. Mentally, yoga can reduce stress and anxiety, improve focus and concentration, and promote better sleep and overall well-being.
