Suji Chilla Recipe: Ingredients

  • Semolina (1 cup)
  • Curd (1/2 cup)
  • Water
  • coriander leaves
  • 1 onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 carrot (grated)
  • 1 green chilli (finely chopped)
  • 1 capsicum (finely chopped)
  • 1 tsp (red chili powder)
  • salt to taste

Method

  • To make semolina chilla, first mix semolina and curd in a bowl.
  • Keep in mind that you have to prepare a thick batter which is also a bit coarse.
  • You can also mix favorite vegetables in it.
  • Mix the finely chopped vegetables in the batter.
  • If you want, you can also add some water if needed.
  • Add green chilies, red chili powder and salt to it.
  • If you want, you can also mix ginger-garlic paste.
  • Sprinkle a pinch of coriander in it and leave the batter for about 20 minutes.
  • After this, heat a non-stick griddle on the gas.
  • Apply a little oil on it with the help of a brush.
  • After this, pour the batter on the griddle with a spoon or bowl.
  • Cook till the cheela turns red from both the sides.
  • In this way Suji Chilla recipe will be ready.
  • You can serve it with green chutney or sauce.
