The development of interchanges for the International Film City has been initiated on both sides of the Yamuna Expressway. The interchanges will stretch 480 meters in length and maintain a consistent width of 11 meters. These interchanges will be built through an investment of Rs 6.01 crore. This project aims to complete the construction within this year.
Film City To Span 1000 Acres In Sector 21
The Yamuna Development Authority plans to develop an international film city spanning 1000 acres within Sector 21. The preparations are underway for the foundation stone laying of the first phase on 230 acres. There is currently no direct connection between the film city and the Yamuna Expressway. Two interchanges are being developed by the authority at a 21-kilometer distance from the Yamuna Expressway zero point. Both interchanges are currently under construction in Bhaipur village. The existing underpass installation is already completed at this site.
Seamless Access For Vehicles And Industrial Sectors
The expressway access will enable smooth entry and exit for vehicles. There will be three lanes established at each interchange point in both directions. The interchange development project is managed by the developer company selected by the authority.
The authority expects to finish the construction of both interchanges during this current year. Industrial sectors 28, 29, 32, and 33 of Yamuna City will benefit from the access to the link expressway that provides simplified routes for cargo vehicles to travel directly to the airport or adjacent routes.
74.3 km Link Expressway To Connect Key Corridors
UPEIDA has drawn the 74.3 km green field link expressway route map for development. UPEIDA designed this link expressway to occupy the land belonging to 54 different villages spread across Bulandshahr and Gautam Buddha Nagar. The Film City region will have an interconnection with the forthcoming link expressway which will create two beneficial interchanges in that area. The link expressway extends over 120 meters wide as it links the Siyana area of Bulandshahr at the Ganga Expressway position 44.3 km to adjacent to the Film City Sector-21 which resides at the Yamuna Expressway location 24.8 km. The connection of the Ganga Expressway to the Yamuna Expressway will simplify the journey between Noida International Airport along with the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway and Agra to Greater Noida. Day travelers from around the country along with international passengers can access Prayagraj directly through this expressway from Meerut.
Jewar Toll Gap To Be Addressed With New Access Point
Presently there exists no access point before Jewar toll on the Yamuna Expressway for users to board or disembark. A newly constructed interchange will provide boarding and alighting opportunities without toll payment at 21 km on the expressway to benefit people living before Jewar. All citizens will achieve easy accessibility to this expressway. The interchange will reduce the time and fuel consumption of all users. Till Jewar toll there exists no current boarding or alighting facility on the expressway.
The building works of the new interchange at the film city commenced under the supervision of Yamuna Authority CEO Arunvir Singh. The authorities intend to finish these interchanges within this current year. Officials are overseeing the quality execution of work on the project at present.
