‘World Stunned By Maha Yagya At A Riverbank’ – PM Modi Pens Emotional Message As Maha Kumbh Ends In Prayagraj

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath highlighted that over 66 crore 21 lakh devotees took the sacred dip in the holy Triveni during Maha Kumbh 2025.

The Maha Kumbh 2025 successfully concluded on Wednesday, coinciding with the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivratri. The 45-day-long religious gathering, which started on January 13, ended on February 26, with the final Amrit snan. Participation of millions of devotees over 45 days made this festival a success. Prayagraj District Magistrate Ravindra Kumar Mandar stated that until 8 p.m., 1.53 crore (15.3 million) people had taken a holy dip at the Maha Kumbh on Wednesday.

PM Modi Hails Success Of Maha Kumbh

Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to his X to express his views on successful completion of Maha Kumbh 2025. He called it overwhelming and ‘Maha Yagya Of Unity.’

PM Modi wrote, “The Maha Kumbh has concluded…the Maha Yagya of unity has been completed. The way the faith of 140 crore countrymen came together for 45 days at the Maha Kumbh of unity in Prayagraj, at one time, and joined this one festival, is overwhelming! I have tried to pen down the thoughts that came to my mind after the completion of the Maha Kumbh…”

PM Modi appreciated the hard work, efforts and determination of the countrymen to make this event successful. He added, “Impressed by the hard work, efforts and determination of the countrymen to make this Maha Kumbh of unity a success, I will visit Shri Somnath, the first Jyotirlinga out of the twelve Jyotirlingas. I will offer my Sankalp Pushp as a symbol of devotion and pray for every Indian. I wish that this uninterrupted flow of unity among the countrymen continues to flow like this.”

UP CM Yogi Thanks PM Modi For His Guidance

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath responded to PM Modi’s post and thanked for his guidance. He wrote, “Respected Prime Minister, it is the result of your successful guidance that the ‘Maha Yagya of Unity, Equality, Harmony’ Maha Kumbh-2025, Prayagraj has been concluded today by setting new standards of security, cleanliness and good management along with grandeur and divinity. In the last 45 holy days, more than 66 crore devotees including revered saints and sages have been blessed by taking a dip of faith in the holy Triveni. This festival of humanity, which gives the nectar message of ‘all people are one’ to the whole world, is binding the whole world in the thread of unity with the sacred sentiment of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ Your guidance and good wishes always provide new energy to all of us. Thank you very much, Prime Minister!”

Earlier, CM Yogi had hailed the grand conclusion of Maha Kumbh 2025 through an X post. He said, “The ‘Maha Yagya’ of humanity, the grand festival of faith, unity and equality, Maha Kumbh-2025, Prayagraj, organized under the guidance of the respected Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji, is moving towards its culmination today with the holy bath of Mahashivratri.”

He further congratulated and expressed gratitude to dignitaries and devotees who participated in the Maha Kumbh. “Hearty congratulations and gratitude to all the dignitaries who were the architects of this achievement, all the devotees and Kalpavasis from the country and abroad,” added CM Yogi.
