Manohar Lal Dhakad lives in Bani village in the Mandsaur district of Madhya Pradesh. He is married to Sohan Bai, who is supported by the BJP and serves as a district panchayat member from Ward No. 8. She is also the village head (Sarpanch). While Dhakad’s exact age is not known, he is believed to be in his 50s. According to Mandsaur BJP district president Rajesh Dixit, Dhakad had registered for BJP membership online, but he is not considered an active member of the party.
After the viral video surfaced, the BJP completely distanced itself from him. “Dhakad is from the village Bani, but he is not a primary member of the BJP. His wife, Sohan Bai is a member of the district panchayat. It is not known if Manoharlal has become a member of the party through online, ” Mandsaur BJP district president Rajesh Dixit told PTI.
