New Delhi: These days it is raining in different parts of the country. In this episode, the Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of light to heavy rains in many areas even today. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain and thundershowers in Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Konkan and Goa today. With this, there is a possibility of rain in many areas of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan and Gujarat.
Due to the low pressure building in the Bay of Bengal, heavy rains are expected in many areas of West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and East Madhya Pradesh from today till August 19. The Meteorological Department has appealed to fishermen not to venture into Odisha, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Goa, Maharashtra and South Gujarat till August 17.
Along with this, rain is forecast in many areas of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand till August 18. It may rain in many areas of Delhi-NCR even today.
According to private weather forecasting agency Skymet Weather, the depression formed over adjoining parts of Odisha and North Chhattisgarh moved towards west northwest. It is now over North Chhattisgarh and adjoining areas. An area of low pressure has formed over the northwest Arabian Sea. The Monsoon Trap is passing through the depression center over North Chhattisgarh and is moving towards Balasore and Bay of Bengal.
