International Women’s Day 2025: The Indian Navy showcased the journey of two women officers – Lt Cdr Dilna and Lt Cdr Roopa today on the occasion of International Women’s Day. In an Instagram post, the Indian navy wrote, “Courageous Hearts, Boundless Seas on the occasion of International Women’s Day, Adm Dinesh K Tripathi, CNS and all personnel of the Indian Navy salute Lt Cdr Dilna & Lt Cdr Roopa.”
As a part of the ongoing Navika Sagar Parikrama 2, the two commanders embarked on a challenging journey that started last year in October 2024 on INSV Tarina. Sharing glimpses, the Indian navy noted, “With unwavering resilience, calm demeanor, and meticulous planning during prolonged periods of harsh maritime conditions – while navigating thousands of nautical miles – they exemplify the exceptional capabilities of women today.”
