The district town planner, Vinesh Kumar, stated that the construction of the restaurant was illegal, and it was the same building from where hooligans had pelted stones on a religious procession.

The government and department had previously served notices to the unauthorised hotel-cum-restaurant. Due to the violent incident that occurred during a religious yatra, this action was deemed necessary.

On a related note, earlier on Saturday morning, the Nuh district administration also demolished over 45 “illegal” shops in the Nalhar road area.

The violence that erupted between two groups on July 31 in Nuh resulted in the tragic loss of six lives, including two Home Guards. In response to the tense situation, the internet suspension in Nuh has been extended until Tuesday as a security measure.

Earlier on August 5, Haryana’s Nuh district administration’s bulldozed nearly two dozen “illegal” structures mostly medical stores and other shops this morning.

The demolition of shanties belonging to migrants in Tauru, approximately 20 km from the violence-stricken area of Nuh, took place on Thursday evening due to encroachment on government land.

Subsequently, bulldozers, accompanied by heavy police presence, were deployed at Shaheed Hasan Khan Mewati Government Medical College in Nalhar, Nuh, to demolish about two dozen shops, mostly pharmacies, located opposite the hospital’s main entrance. These shops had been in existence for many years.

The recent clashes, sparked by an attempt to halt a Vishva Hindu Parishad procession, have escalated the violence, spreading to Gurugram in the past few days. Tragically, six people, including two home guards and a cleric, lost their lives in the unrest.
