Kannauj: A barber in Uttar Pradesh’s Kannauj was caught on camera using his spit to massage a customer’s face at a salon. In a viral video, the barber, identified as Yusuf, is seen applying cream and massaging the face of a customer with closed eyes. Exploiting the situation, Yusuf spat on his left hand and applied it to the customer’s face. After committing the act, Yusuf gave a thumbs up, which the unaware customer reciprocated with a smile.

Public And Police Reaction
The video, reportedly about 10 days old, sparked outrage, leading Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) activists to protest and demand strict action against Yusuf, who is currently absconding. Superintendent of Police Amit Kumar acknowledged the video’s disturbing content and confirmed that a case has been registered. He assured that Yusuf will be arrested and appropriate action will be taken.

Previous Incident
This incident is reminiscent of a similar case in June, where another barber in Lucknow was arrested after being caught on CCTV massaging a customer’s face with spit. The recurring nature of such incidents has heightened public concern and calls for stricter regulations in salon practices.
