Investigation Findings

The police assessment has revealed that the burns on the body appeared to be post-mortem. This implies that she could have been killed before the pyre. A case has been registered at the Jirania police station under Section 103/3 (5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita against unidentified people.
