Telangana Glass Factory Blast: 5 Workers Dead, 15 Injured

Explosion at Telangana glass factory kills 5, injures 15; fire brigade responds as panic ensues; separate blast in Shadnagar reported.

A major incident has emerged from Telangana where a powerful explosion occurred at a glass factory on Friday, resulting in a fire. This incident claimed the lives of 5 laborers working at the factory, while 15 others were severely injured. Upon receiving the information, the police took custody of the bodies and sent them for postmortem. Fire brigade vehicles are also present at the scene.

Approximately 55 kilometers away from Hyderabad in Shadnagar, a blast occurred around 4:30 PM in a tank at South Glass Factory. The explosion caused a fire to spread throughout the factory, triggering panic among the employees. Everyone started running helter-skelter to save their lives. During this chaos, someone informed the police and fire department about the incident.

Upon receiving the information, Telangana police officers and firefighters immediately engaged in rescue operations. They safely evacuated those trapped inside the factory. Fire brigade vehicles managed to control the blaze after strenuous efforts. The incident resulted in the loss of lives of 5 laborers, with 15 others sustaining injuries. Police ensured all the injured were admitted to the hospital. However, the cause of the incident is still unknown at this time.

It is reported that laborers from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Odisha work at this factory. The identities of the deceased have not yet been established. Chief Minister E. Revanth Reddy has instructed officials to ensure better treatment for the injured. The Chief Minister’s office has directed the Collector and officials from revenue, police, and other departments to take action on this matter.
