In a concerning incident, five passengers and two crew members reported feeling dizzy and nauseous on a Mumbai-bound Air India flight, the airline said on Monday. The flight reportedly landed safely in Mumbai, where a medical team was already on Standby. According to reports, the crew members and passengers aboard Air India Flight 130 complained of feeling unwell mid-air.
AI Crew Member, Passengers Taken To Medical Room
All seven aboard reported feeling nauseous and dizzy during different phases of the flight and were taken for medical examination and later discharged. ANI quoted an Air India Spokesperson as saying, “The flight landed safely in Mumbai, where our medical teams were ready to provide immediate assistance. After landing, two passengers and two cabin crew, who continued to feel unwell, were taken to the medical room for further examination and were later discharged. We are investigating the incident and have duly notified the regulator.”
Jammu-Bound AI Express Flight Forced To Return
Air India confirmed that they have reported the incident to the aviation safety regulator, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation. In a separate incident, earlier on Monday, a Jammu-bound Air India Express flight IX2564 was forced to return mid-air. The flight en route from Delhi returned after a “suspected” GPS signal interference. Reports stated that the passengers were later shifted to a replacement aircraft, the airline said.
