Seema Haider Case: Top takeaways from the ATS interrogation

Seema Haider Case: Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) on Wednesday questioned Seema Haidar, who entered India illegally allegedly to meet her lover Sachin Meena, whom she met on PUBG, an online gaming platform during the COVID pandemic.

However, Seema Haider was grilled by the ATS for 12 hours on Tuesday.

Here are the key points from the ATS investigation:

1. Sachin Meena – Pakistani woman – Seema Ghulam Haider came in contact with Indian nationalist Sachin Meena through online game PUBG in the year 2020, following playing video games for about 15 days, both of them exchanged their WhatsApp numbers and commenced the conversation.
2. Seema Haider’s husband Ghulam Haider has gone to Saudi Arabia to work since the year 2019, who used to send Seema Haider 70-80 thousand rupees per month (Pakistani Rupees) from Saudi for home expenses, out of which she used to pay house rent along with children’s school fees. Seema used to save 20-25 thousand rupees per month after household food expenses.
3. Seema initiated two committees in her village, each worth one lakh rupees, with a maturity period of 20 months.
4. The committees were opened in 2021, and a total of two lakh rupees was collected.
5. Seema managed to save around four to five lakh rupees annually.
6. She entrusted her savings to the landlord’s daughter for safekeeping.
7. Haider’s father sent one lakh rupees, and Seema accumulated five to six lakh rupees from her own savings.
8. Additionally, Seema’s husband sent a sum of two lakh fifty thousand rupees from Saudi Arabia.
9. With the assistance of relatives, Seema purchased a 39 gaj house for approximately 12 lakh rupees.
10. However, just three months after buying the house, she sold it for the same price of 12 lakhs.
11. The purpose of selling the house was to travel to India and meet Sachin Meena.
12. Seema Haider traveled from Pakistan’s Karachi Airport to Nepal on 10 March 2023.
13. She flew via Sharjah Airport and held a 15-day tourist visa for her visit to Nepal.
14. Seema arrived at Kathmandu Airport in Nepal on 17 March 2023.
15. She returned from Nepal on 18 March 2023, following the same route she took during her journey.
16. Seema arrived back at Pakistan’s Karachi Airport on 18 March 2023.

Sachin Meena’s travel details:

1. Sachin Meena traveled from Parichok, Gautam Buddha Nagar to Gorakhpur on 08 March 2023.
2. On 09 March 2023, he departed from Gorakhpur and headed to the Sonoli border.
3. From the Sonoli border, Sachin crossed into Kathmandu, Nepal, and reached there on 10 March 2023, in the morning.
4. He stayed at the New Vinayak Hotel, located in New Bus Adda Park, Kathmandu, and occupied a room during his stay.

First Meeting Instance:

1. Sachin Meena received Seema Haider from Kathmandu Nepal airport on the evening of 10 March 2023.
2. They stayed together at the New Vinayak Hotel in Kathmandu from 10 March 2023 to 17 March 2023.

Second Meeting Instance:

1. On 10 May 2023, Seema Haider, along with her four children, entered Nepal from Pakistan on a 15-day tourist visa.
2. They arrived in Kathmandu from Dubai airport on 11 May 2023 and then traveled to Pokhara in the evening, where they stayed overnight at an unspecified hotel.
3. Seema Haider took a bus from Pokhara on the morning of 12 May 2023 and entered India through the Roopandehi Khunwa (Khunwa) border district in Siddharthnagar.
4. She traveled via Lucknow and Agra and arrived in Rabupura Cut, Gautam Budh Nagar, on 13 May 2023 by bus.
5. Sachin Meena had already rented a room in Rabupura, where both of them were residing together.

Items in Possession:

1. Seema Haider was found in possession of two video cassettes, four mobile phones, five Pakistani authorized passports, one unused passport, and an incomplete name and address identity card.
2. Investigation is underway regarding these items, and the district police are taking necessary legal action in connection with Seema Haider’s unauthorized entry into India with her four children.
