A Station officer (SO) was caught red-handed for accepting a bribe of Rs 30,000 in Uttar Pradesh’s Mirzapur. The anti-corruption team caught him red-handed when he was taking the first installment of a bribe. He was taken to the city police station.
According to reports, the SO, Shiv Shankar Singh, allegedly demanded a bribe of Rs 50,000 from a man in exchange for filing a case. The anti-corruption team laid a trap in advance and, when the cop was taking the first installment of Rs 30,000, caught him red-handed.
A complainant Harinarayan Yadav from Majhigawa village wanted to file a case. However, the police officer did not file the case and demanded a bribe. Finally, the complainant approached the Anti-corruption department in Mirzapur and reported the matter.

Upon receiving the complaint from Yadav, The anti-corruption team laid a trap and decided to catch the SO red-handed.
As per the plan, the man the first installment to the SO of Rs 30,000. The officer was caught while accepting the bribe by the Anti-corruption team.
