PM Modi’s Bihar Visit: High Alert Ahead Of Prime Minister’s First Visit Post-Operation Sindoor; Security Tightened Across State

The authorities have told the police to secure the site as best as possible. The Patna police held a mock drill with SPG officers on Tuesday, practising routes from the airport to the BJP office.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a two-day visit to Bihar starting May 29, 2025. Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s two-day visit to Bihar, the state police headquarters has declared a high alert. This marks the first visit by the Prime Minister to the state after the success of Operation Sindoor. Authorities have issued the alert across the state, particularly in the capital Patna, Rohtas, and Bhojpur districts. Superintendents of Police (SPs) and all Range DIGs and IGPs have been put on high alert.

During the Prime Minister’s roadshow, additional security will be deployed, including Quick Response Teams (QRTs) and snipers along the route. Furthermore, a Counter Assault Team (CAT), an Intelligence Team, and an Anti-Terrorist Strike Force (ATSF) will be stationed for the duration of the visit. Because the border between India and Nepal is porous, the authorities have been instructed to team up with border officers and check people very carefully.

Given the porous Indo-Nepal border, authorities have been directed to coordinate with border districts and ensure thorough checks at the border.
